Nicole Constable at the Foreign Correspondents' Club

Club Lunch: Hong Kong's Domestic Helpers and the Politics of International Labor

Feedback from the first anthropology cohort with Ms Hedda Schuurman

Learning first hand from Nicole Constable (far right) about immigrants in Hong Kong was truly fascinating and a great experience. Her insight towards this has made us open our eyes into treating everyone equally. - Yi Ting Liong. Y12

IBOB Final 2013/2014- Winning the Gold Medal

Our team did it again. Although the FIS and ICS teams were fast, our Y7 and Y8 students were amazing. Good job, student leaders of Y10.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms Ariel J Conant , reporter of SCMP Young Post for covering the event and celebrating this memorable moment with us.

IBOB was awesome! Many of the books were really amazing, particularly "Tomorrow, When the War Began" (which I had previously never heard of) and the competitions were really fun too. I can't wait until next year. :)----- Nicola Sharp, Y08C

Hannah Tsang, our competent scorer for this battle.

PS: Thank you so much for organising IBOB this year! The food was terrific and it was a whole lot of fun to participate in. It's definitely a highlight for Year 8 for me. :D

Today the Shark Guardian Founders, Liz and Brendon Sing, visited GSIS again!

Liz and Brendon  shared their passion, experience and knowledge about sharks to both the K05 and Y7 students, promoting conservation and raising the awareness that majority (97%) of shark species are not harmful to people. In fact it is vital for us to protect sharks as they are on top of our food chain and ensure the delicate ecosystem of our oceans remains healthy and supportive to mankind.

To learn more please visit Shark Guardian's website.

Liz and Brendon invited our students to take part in designing their new logo and entries for the competition are due on 28 June 2014. For details of the competition, please see here.
